Solidarity is an important value for any society, as well as for the entire global community. It is characterized by mutual collaboration between individuals which makes it possible to overcome the most terrible disasters, such as wars, diseases, etc. This also helps one city or place to have a better or improve their own cultures. This festival also aims to strengthen the pride in the history and culture of Vigan City. Some of the activities that is participated by many people are Zarzuela Ilocana (Ilocano stage play), singing contests, photography, dallot (Ilocano oral tradition of debate through singing), sabayang pagbigkas or speech choir, and daniw or poetry. There is also what they call Trade fair where they sell different kind of foods, furnitures, plants, and many more. Also, there is a parade that is participated by 39 baranggays of Vigan City. Another way to look back in the history of Vigan is to join the scheduled Visita Museo ken Balbalay, when narrators read accounts of the life of the owners of the mansions and museum that are toured.

Solidarity was a value that was important to international relations in the 21st century. It is reaslly important because people feel like they are all connected. Solidarity works best when we respect each other's culture, traditions, and differences.
